Cock-a-doodle-doo

now that the whole chinese new year frenzy has gone down for me, i shall update. (yes u may scream with joy, anna.)

new year's eve (chu2 xi1):
went back to NAS to visit e teachers. Canteen looks like a macdonald's area. DAMN. although it really takes up a lot of space, it looks nice! they always have to do this huh?!? they always have to do something the year after i leave. bleagh. lol but i'm still glad i left. went over to Pavillion to watch friends play pool. I DO NOT LIKE THAT PLACE, AT ALL. lol yes. it's just too... beng-sy for me. okay so maybe some nerdy people go there too but still, not a place for me. *looks at jean* -hums- lol.

Reunion dinner downstairs(my cousin's house) was delicious. Or maybe it's the whole atmosphere thing which made me feel so. but well, i love reunion dinner nights, so, i dont care. oh right, recieved most of my hongbaos that night.heh. Anyway it was pretty much the same as the previous years, just that this time my cousin and i had something to entertain ourselves. uh-huh. we got bored, went up to my house, took out the guitars and played rubbish for like 15-30 mins, and then (i rmb this procedure well, anna girl.) took a bakwa each, and went downstairs again. Lol wicked.

played mahjong later that night with anna, dad and mom. mom was soooo engrossed in the luck of the zodiac signs thingy on tv, whenever one of our zodiac signs came out, she'd run to the table to write what the guy said down. well here's bad news. that guy said people born in the year of the dragon should try to avoid eating chilli. WHAT?!?!? U'RE TELLING A GIRL WHO CANNOT SURVIVE WITHOUT CHILLI TO NOT EAT CHILLI?!? *sobs* i can't do it! <-ass. lol. erm, back to mahjong. was having fun playing it when suddenly at 12+ (yes gong xi fa cai already), phone rings. it was grams. ack. my cousin had to go down. so we er..lol we.. rushed through the last game. LITERALLY RUSHED. rofl. it was damn funny. so much for new year's EVE. there's more. lol. look down. 1ST day of new year (chu1 yi1):
well first day's pretty much the same as every year so went to the temples blah blah blah... That night was different though. went to KBOX (Pavillion again.-stares-) for karaoke with my cousins and brother. it was pretty fun, cos we're all like singing (badly, at least for me) and fooling around(my brother's darn funny).. until my cousin and her husband-to-be got drunk. i swear she was at least semi-drunk. lol and they were supposed to be driving us. anna and i were like,"woah, she's drunk. er, it's ok. we'll take a cab back."lol. thankfully there was HOPE. one of my driver cousin's still alive, so he managed to drive us home, which was about, near 2 am. late eh? heh.

2nd day (chu1 er4):
went to my uncle's new house for lunch. pretty cool house, judging the fact that they changed part of the backyard into their bedroom, behind the kitchen. woah. My uncle hired a lion dance troupe. so there was this lion dance performance just for us.. har har. *recalls lion-butt-touching thingy*. it was pretty nice and all, but real LOUD. lol i thought it was quite amusing tho, that our aunties, uncles and my mom all went up to look at the oranges on the plate, saying it was this number, that number, when all i saw was a "wang4" word. *opens mouth in amazement* how did they do that???lol. cute people. later on went over to another of my aunt's house and yada yada yada...

Dad drove us around that night because my bro wanted to take pictures with his digicam. We went from Boat Quay to chinatown area, and then to the central district.. Dad then brought us to this place(i can't remember the name) near the Fullerton hotel and we went up there, and the view WAS AMAZING!!!! We could see like all the buildings and like the whole central thingy... and the erm, back view of the merlion, and a beautiful view of Swissotel! It was sooo mezmerizing. i know i know, u'll probably say, "hey, it's singapore. what's so mezmerizing?" well i don't know but it was truly breathtaking for me. cos we were standing on a high level, and we were the only ones there, so it was a great atmosphere.AND hello? it's night-time! it's perfecct! could see all the suntec city buildings as well. However, i did feel a bit uneasy because no one was there, and i never knew that we were allowed to go up there. especially when the winehouse below is closed and there's no one in charge there. but dad kept re-assuring us that we were ALLOWED so.... HAHA U GUYS DIDNT GET TO SEE IT! nanny nanny poo poo.. *runs around like an idiot with hands waving in the air*

3rd day (chu1 san1):
went visiting to another aunt's house with my bro and dad. yes yes it seems like i have a lot of relatives eh? well mom and i were counting the other day and all in all, my dad's side and my mom's side added together gives me.....*drum roll*...... 79 RELATIVES!!! once again... 79 RELATIVES!!! 79 RELATIVES!!! 79 RELATIVES!!! 79 RELA *SMACK* right, i'm sorry. lol

watched the dvd of The Incredibles that night, courtesy of my cousin. It was my first time watching it. A bit lag eh?

4th day (chu1 si4):
Went to my primary school teacher's house for a little class gathering. tho there were only 12 of us, har, i havent seen a few of them since 2000!! so i couldnt recognise 1 of them, and i was like wondering to myself when he came," what's this guy doing in our group?" and then it suddenly smacked me in the head. "OH.... right.."

out of the 12 people there, i realised 10 were in JC. and the only one one working besides me COULD go to JC. it's just that she didnt want to. HOLY SMACKEROO! i think they made a mistake of putting me in that class back then. seriously, i was put in the wrong class. c'mon. 7 or 8 of them are in RJC, then others conquering MJC, TJC, TPJC, SAJC and VJC.. oh yea, i was put in the wrong class back then. They're all great people tho.. and i had a really great time with them back then. BUT i still think i was put in the wrong class. -shakes head-lousy management.

had a grand dinner that night at Pines with my other relatives and then went on to... (okay get ready for this again) KARAOKE. lol. wild wild hectic.

okay so much for 4 days of new year. lol lazy to describe more details. (quick u guys, count ur lucky stars! i know u're thanking god i'm stopping!)

but erm, i still wanna say that i loved Joss Stone's and John Mayer's performances at the Grammy's.. Especially John Mayer's. i mean, after all that crazy strong loud songs, after all the Greenday, Kanye West and all, suddenly u have someone going "...fathers be good to your daughters..." , it has such a calming effect. like, *breathes* ah, so peaceful.. lol. i loved the performance by the collaboration of Keith Urban, Tim Mcgraw, Gretchen Wilson and the other country singers.. it was a cool one. and can someone tell me how many times did Tim Mcgraw perform? he kept appearing on stage!

right i'll stop, i'll stop!!

ps: High School Reunion's last episode tonight! -excited-
